Before I began working with Coach Talia. I was a runner attempting to navigate on my own through the weights at the gym.
If you have ever been lost and trying to work your way through weight machines, that was what I was doing in an attempt to maintain muscle and get stronger.
Since working with Coach Talia the gym workouts are so much better than I have ever known. She has taken where I was at and structured a program specifically designed for me. It includes my goals for health, weight, lifting, and running. The workouts have been exciting,challenging, and changing as the weeks progress. So many muscle groups are targeted.
I feel so much stronger, and no longer have to navigate the weights alone, as she is always there for any questions throughout the process. Since beginning this weight program I have run the OC Marathon 19 minutes faster this year than I had last year. I definitely felt stronger this year during the entire race. One thing that always stood out to me was Talia’s patience and skillful direction. I often missed verbal instructions for new exercises or form corrections. Instead of moving on or oversimplifying, she took the time to explain it in new, creative ways or demonstrate it until it clicked - even if it took several sessions. Her measured persistence and expert guidance was instrumental in helping me build confidence with complex exercises.
I cannot recommend Talia enough; she is a fantastic trainer and person.
